Acting Portfolio

I began wanting to act as far back as high school and took some theater and technical theater classes then. I originally headed to college at 18 and even seriously considered being a theater major, but life got in the way as they say, and it was more than 10 years later before I acted again. I like a discussion I heard Donna Summer having one day about combining singing and acting. She said that she “approached every song like an actress, and that it allowed her to be who the song needed her to be.” That has always stuck with me.

Moving into the late 2000’s I began having to take some medication that made me a bit forgetful at times and I became terrified of live acting situations. I made the move to TV & Film and immediately took advantage of the robust film & tv industry in Austin at the time. I was cast multiple times as an extra on 3 different seasons of “Friday Night Lights” to the tune of 14 episodes. It was a lot of fun and i learned a good deal on that set. I soon got a local agent and decided to take some acting lessons.

I noticed that an actor I’ve always admired had moved into town and started a new school called “The Actors Arena”. I went for the beginning of their second session and the actor was Terry Kiser – most famously known for playing the title character in “Weekend At Bernie’s”. Little did I know I’d met one of my best friends I’ve ever had in my life that night. Within a very few months, I was working for them and running the Arena management for him. I got some amazing training from Terry during those 3 years we had the Arena open from 2013 to 2016.

“The Craft” of acting is a very special gift and there is more I’d like to do with that after school is done. Here is my imdb.com page and my demonstration reel for you.

Acting Demo Reel

With many auditions you are literally given about a minute & a half to “wow” a potential casting director. They are sometimes seriously seeing several hundred people a day for the same part. I’ve never claimed to be the greatest for sure and there is much to continue learning with the craft itself, and there are so many ranges of characters I’d love to give a stab at. I haven’t been able to audition much in the last 3 years with my school schedule, but I plan to get right back out there and soon! This is a one-minute compilation taken from a few films and scene studies put together as my official “Demo Reel” and it is on my page at imdb.com.
